The Weinerts – Scott & Josett

In general I feel that most people in the world, or in Utah have a very strong opinion about the snow. Call me crazy, but I love the snow. It reminds me of all kinds of wonderful memories like growing up, people slipping, and my wedding day. I was so excited when we got our first snow this year. Amy, Bonnie and I went outside for Bonnies first snow adventure. We had a snow ball fight, built a decent snowman, and forced Bonnie to make a little snow angle. The following day it continued to snow so Scott and I went outside and built a snow-prego-woman, to match me. She had some big hips, and a big belly. We got a lot of stares, but were very proud of our snowman.

This year for halloween Scott and I got to dress up twice! For round one were we the dynamic duo of robin hood and his lovely Miss Maid Marien 9 months after they left the Sherwood forest. Then on Halloween day I was a sparkly BIG disco ball, and Scott was a disco dancer. He wore a head lamp around his leg and would shine it at me, and I would reflect on all the people around me. We had so much fun, dancing and a tad bit embarrassing. Hey I got to work the belly while I can, right? Happy Halloween!

Scott and I flew home to Kansas for a week to welcome home Elder Weinert from his 2 year mission to Portland OR. It was so nice to be with family! We helped Seth assemble a new wardrobe, went mini golfing, jumped on the tramp, watched Anna swim, carved pumpkins, made tons of mexican food, listened to Seth report, went to dog beach, went on family runs, went to the park, snuggled, went to the temple together, and had a little baby shower. The family got together and made a little scrap book for our baby girl about all the events that happen in 2012 the year she was born. We are so glad to have Seth back and are super excited for all the mountain adventures to begin!

Katie threw me a little baby shower with all my friends, cousins, and family! We played fun games like charades, and speed diaper changing. I am so excited for this little girl to come into our family, and I am grateful for all the clothes and supplies I got to help make the transition less spendy.

My parents came to Provo for a week to see Bonnies baby blessing. It was a wonderful experience and we had a great time with them in town. We went to a museum, to Frank Magleby house, and on lots of nice walks. Scott took Dad climbing up in RC and they did 5 pitches together. Dad was was like a little boy in a candy shop and was telling us all about climbing. It was really cute.

Sunday we went to the Fehlberg’s ward and watched Cody give a tender blessing. He made everyone in the family tear up. After Amy and Cody both got up to bear their testimony.  It was sweet to see how in love there are and see the large affect Bonnie has been in their life. I was a wonderful experience.

Kjersti came down for General Conference weekend. She brought her boyfriend Seth and we got to meet him for a brief second time. It was so much fun to be together as family as we watched the Lords prophets and Apostles speak. This year I learned that being busy is not a “good thing”, it only matters weather you are doing good things. I also learned the importance of single relationships and the power of spending quality time with people. I am grateful that I live so close to Amy and Kjersti!

We went on a double date with Dave and Katrina to the Springvill Pumpkin Patch. We hiked around and found the perfect green pumpkin for carving. We checked out the animals at the petting zoo including a emu, baby buffalo, and a 600 lb pig! They were not the best for petting but they were pretty neat to look at. It was a very fun date!

Sunday afternoon Scott and I took a lovely walk up the canyon and loved the beautiful fall colors that we saw. I needed to snap some photos for my photography class, and I decided to use my handsome hubs as a model. I have really enjoyed my photography class and have learned so much thus far in the class! Can’t wait for a cute little munchkin to join our family so I can photograph her!

Pregnancy has been a little hard on Scott. He misses his companion being able to be his partner in crime for all his favorite activities. One of Scott’s friends named Dave also has a pregnant wife and is having outdoor withdraws. Thus they decided to take more adventures together in the follow months. (Cute they formed a little Dad’s club!) This months adventure was a beautiful granite multi-pitch up in Little cotton Wood. When Scott came home he was so happy and excited and told me story after story for hours! He had so much fun and I can tell that he really needs and loves his outdoor adventures.

This past summer I got Scott a pair of 5-finger shoes, and he has been running in them ever since. This Saturday Scott and his buddy Keith ran a 10K obstacle course through the mud. Well I think that 5-finger shoe training paid off because after his first obstacle Scott’s shoes got sucked right off his feet and lost in the mud. Thus he had to run the rest of the race barefoot. Way to go Hubs! Very hardcore!
